And use modern forms in the sport of wushu, as seen in this staff routine "'Wu' 武" translated as' self-defense in the English language, but in terms of language, this word has a slightly different meaning. In Chinese, "Wu 武" consists of two parts, the first meaning of "stop" (Zhi 止), and the second means "invaders Lens" (JE 戈). This means that the "Wu '武," is the use of defensive combat. The term "武术 wushu", goes back to the reign of the family of Yang 梁朝 (502-557). Both "武术 wushu" and "wugong 寺 武", is one of the old military terms. The oldest document found that used the term "武术 wushu" 萧 anthology compiled by Xiao Tong 通, (Prince Zhaoming 昭明 太子 d 531), during the Liang Dynasty 梁朝 (502-557) entitled Wenxuan 文选 "specific literature." Can be found on this term in the second verse of a poem entitled: 皇太子 释奠 会 作诗 "Huang Hui Taizi Shidian Zuoshi". Intentionally modify the definition 武术 wushu of the People's Republic of China during the early 1950s, and the training of military personnel, to mean 'sports show.
